Hello, and welcome to YLove Studios! I'm excited to have you here and share my passion for art with you and your young artist(s). At YLove Studios, I'm the artist, the teacher and the janitor. I offer a range of art training options for students of all ages, including one-on-one in-person instruction, small group classes, and virtual Zoom sessions from my private studio in Rapid City, Michigan. With over 6 years of experience teaching children from pre-K to college, I am confident in my ability to assess, train, and inspire your young artist(s) to reach their full potential.
My class offerings include fine art, watercolor, acrylic painting, color theory, animal drawing, digital art, and more.
My classes are not only enjoyable but also provide a genuine challenge that helps students grow in their artistic abilities. I believe in celebrating each step of the artistic process, and my goal is to give students the freedom to explore and express their artistic potential. My classes provide a fun and supportive environment where children can develop real art skills and techniques that can be applied at home, school, and in future artistic endeavors.

Basic Art Lessons

Get ready to unleash your inner Van Gogh with our art class for beginners! We'll teach you everything you need to know, from acrylic to watercolor, color theory and how to handle equipment without poking an eye out. By the end of the class, you'll be creating masterpieces that'll make the Mona Lisa look like a stick figure drawing. So, come join us and let's make some art that's worthy of a spot in the Louvre (or at least on your fridge!)

Advanced Art Lessons
Private one-on-one
Length 1 & 1/2 hr
Unlock your full potential as an artist in our advanced class for ages 9 and up. Focusing on providing more time for creating, this class is perfect for artists who are looking to take their skills to the next level.
For ages 15 and up, this class is designed to push boundaries and help students go beyond their current level of artistic knowledge. Together, we'll explore what it takes to become a professional artist in the art world, as we work to develop and refine your knowledge and skills. Be prepared to unleash your inner Monet, Michelangelo, or Picasso. Become a true master of the brush, canvas and computer.

Group Art Lessons

Our group art class is the perfect way to dive into the world of art. Together, we'll explore a wide range of artists and mediums, with new and exciting projects each month. Discover art history and art from around the globe while creating and learning in a fun and collaborative environment.

Virtual Classes
Artists from around the world can enjoy art classes via Zoom. Young and old will enjoy tailored lessons around student's interests. For Zoom classes, students will need to to have their own art supplies on hand. Limited supplies? We can customize your lessons around what supplies you have on hand. Group classes are available.
Basic Art Lessons
A gentle and exciting introduction to the world of art. Using fun, creative, and confidence-building projects, students are taught the basics of color & beyond. They learn how to use color to create something beautiful, how to use their equipment and how to turn an idea into a piece of art. What surprises parents most about this class is how fast their child progresses from zero formal art experience to producing artwork.

Advanced Art Lessons
Designed to cater to the student's unique needs, this class is designed to prepare students for art at both the high school and college levels. By this point, students have already learned the basics of how to create art. Now, they get to refine these skills into creating more advanced and detailed art.
Bonus: this class has the option to focus on both tangible and electronic art. Why? Because learning how to use multiple Adobe programs is necessary for most artists to succeed in the art world.
